When it comes to rug cleaning, steam cleaning presents certain disadvantages. Unlike steam cleaning, our advanced system offers a superior alternative. At our facility, we prioritize deep rug washing with the latest rug cleaning machinery over steam cleaning. Many rug cleaning companies utilize the steam cleaning method, as it is common, fast, and involves less labor. However, this method is not suitable for Handmade or modern Oriental rugs. Steam cleaning can potentially damage your rugs, as the heat and moisture may cause shrinkage, color bleeding, or fiber damage. Furthermore, if you have Oriental rugs steam cleaned, you're essentially creating mud inside the rug, leaving the bottom dirtier than before it was cleaned, even though the surface appears clean. In contrast, we take a different approach. At our facility, we immerse your rug in a substantial amount of water, allowing it to thoroughly penetrate the fibers and wash away the dirt, leaving your rug clean and refreshed. Our rug cleaning process is the very best, and your rugs are always handled by experienced technicians. The rugs are machine washed to ensure a thorough wash on each rug. Each rug is gently scrubbed by a line of soft brush pads that deep clean and completely remove remaining mineral deposits and stains. Experience Superior Rug Care with Cozy Rugs' Nine-Step Process"
Step 1: Inspection
Every rug undergoes a thorough inspection process by our technicians to identify stains, discolorations, and any special requests from the customer. From the rug fibers and fringes to coloration and underpadding, everything is meticulously examined. The rugs are cataloged in our system with a special tag based on the type of material and size.
Step 2: Dusting
Proper dusting is one of the most crucial steps in rug cleaning. Without dusting, dust particles and allergens remain inside your rug even after washing and drying. Our computer-controlled dusting machine ensures all dust particles are effectively extracted.
Step 3: Pre-Treatment
Each rug is treated with safe and eco-friendly soap through the pre-soaking pool for one day. This process helps soften and break down dirt and dissolved minerals that cling to your rug over time.
Step 4: Machine Wash
Next, the rugs are machine washed in our high-tech automatic rug washing machine with shampoo. Each rug is gently scrubbed by a line of soft brush pads that deep clean and completely remove remaining dirt deposits and stains. The excess eco-friendly soap and water are filtered through our drainage system. Our machine ensures that your rug is properly washed, including rug pile and fringes, without damaging your rug in the process.
Step 5: Spin Draining
Your rug is rolled up and then placed into our centrifuge machine. In the centrifuge, all the remaining water and moisture are completely drained from your rug, ensuring that each rug comes out with approximately 95% dryness.
Step 6: Drying
After spin draining, the rugs are immediately sent to our drying room to remove the water from the fibers. Leaving rugs moist for too long can cause color run and unwanted mold buildup. Our enclosed climate-controlled drying room is equipped with dehumidifiers and fans that create the most ideal ecosystem to properly dry your rugs.
Step 7: Final Inspection
After spending one day in the drying room, our technicians perform a final inspection to ensure quality control. Each rug is lightly airbrushed to recondition and remove loose fibers.
Step 8: Packaged Ready to Ship
Once the rug is 100% approved, it is hand-lifted onto a special winding table where it is electronically rolled up and covered with a thick, protective plastic covering. It is important to note that customers should remove the packaging as soon as it is received.
Step 9: Free Delivery within 5 Miles
We provide complimentary porch-side delivery within a 5-mile radius from our Cozy Rugs store. For insurance reasons, we are unable to enter your building; however, we will deliver your rug directly to your doorstep.
